All We Need Is You!
One in every 10 children in San Luis Obispo County have special needs for physical disabilities, serious illnesses, injuries or birth defects. The Jack Ready Imagination Park is our community’s first universally accessible park, giving children of all abilities the opportunity to play in a safe, beautiful place. The Park, 33 acres located on the Nipomo Mesa, will be accessible by foot, bike, stroller, wheelchair and walker, and will include:
- Themed play structures
- Sand play area
- Sports areas
- Therapeutic equestrian riding center
- Sensory garden
How Can You Help?
Every year we host our Imagination Park Fall Classic Golf Tournament that allows people in the community to enjoy a day of golf, food, and friends. There are many ways for one to participate and support us whether it be through a sponsorship, playing on a team, volunteering, or donating to our virtual teams! For more information, click here!

Mike McAustin has been spearheading the park project since 2016. Having known Paul and Bridget for over 20 years, he was aware of the outstanding work that they do in our community. Additionally, one of his best friends had a special needs son, Matthew. Throughout Matthew’s life he was able to observe firsthand the challenges, strains and joys that raising a special needs child brings to a family. Mike realized the need in our community to have a place where all children, regardless of ability, can enjoy being a kid. This is why Mike contributes to make the Jack Ready Imagination Park a reality.
