Jack’s Assistance Program is the heart and soul of our organization, providing everything from high-tech wheelchairs to prosthetic limbs, from appointments with specialists to custom-designed eyeglasses or hearing devices for local children up to the age of 21. This program also offers financial assistance to families of children with cancer or special needs to help with transportation, food and housing costs associated with out-of-area treatments.

An application is required to qualify for Jack’s Assistance Program. Our goal is to help your family, so all applications are reviewed with the goal of providing some sort of assistance.

If you have an emergency, please call us at (805) 547-1914 so that we can attempt to assist you urgently.

Initial Applications and Assistance Requests are kept for 2 years. After 2 years, a family must complete a new full Application.

Meet Danny! Danny had many things to celebrate this past year. In addition to finishing treatment for his illness, he successfully graduated from high school. In June 2019, Danny was not feeling well and went to the doctor. Following testing he was diagnosed with a germ cell tumor that was applying pressure to his heart. Danny spent weeks up at Stanford having surgery and chemotherapy. In January of 2020, well into his treatment, Danny had to undergo another eight hour surgery which was a success. He stated, “I was able to go home earlier than expected which was a gift.” During the entire treatment, Danny participated in Independent Study so he could graduate with his friends. He now attends Allan Hancock College. Danny adds, “Now I am a college student and nothing bad will stop me because all of the bad are just obstacles, obstacles that I can easily overcome. After all of this, I haven’t given up and I will never give up, God has a purpose!”
